My background in both Psychiatry and Women's Health has exposed me to the wide range of emotional challenges faced by patients throughout their lives. It has also fostered a deep appreciation of the mind-body connection, which is an essential part of comprehensive psychiatric treatment.

My approach is to understand your values and struggles in order to design a personalized treatment plan together with you. This may include medications, psychotherapy, or a combination of both.
I'm passionate about providing care with clinical excellence, empathy, and respect for your unique mental health journey.
Raised in South Jersey, Dr. Crawford received her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Psychology and Biological Basis of Behavior. She attended NYU School of Medicine during which time she received the Eleanor Mayer Master Scholars Humanism Award and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Crawford returned to Penn to complete a four year Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. She subsequently worked for three years in a busy hospital based OB/GYN practice. During that time she was struck by the range of emotional and psychiatric challenges encountered during the reproductive years. This inspired her to change career paths to Psychiatry and focus on treatment of the patient as a whole, through a biopsychosocial framework.

Dr. Crawford completed her Psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ where she treated a wide variety of patients in a high acuity setting. During her time there, she was recognized as one of the top resident physicians in the hospital system for her dedication to patient care. Upon graduation she received the Clinical Excellence in Psychiatry Award, as well as the Psychotherapy Award.
